Donny Broussard is currently the Director of the Visual Resource Center for the College of the Arts at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. With a concentration in Media Art he received his BFA from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. After graduation he spent two years working in both commercial and film production as a production assistant, camera assistant, editor, and assistant director. In 2003 he started Bigfoot productions and went on to produce and direct commercials for the Uninted Way, PAR Realty, and Remington. His short film “This Way to You” took first place at the NOVAC film festival and traveled around to over 35 other festivals including New Filmmakers, and Rooftop Film Festival. The film “Red Hours,”which he worked on as Director of Photography just took first place at the AHF in Australia, and his new documentary “Little Houses” was featured in the New Orleans Film Festival. Donny is also the Editor-in-Chief of www.killerfilm.com, a film review site and he writes for various other online film publications such as www.filmmaking.net and www.cinemaadvanced.com. He also enjoys hanging out at Hooters with his good friend Pitcher of Beer, he finds it relaxing and like a good dose of fiber it keeps him regular.
